The route description starts from Bågede. However, the area is remote and the distance to the nearest forest road, from Bågede (road 342) and Fiskåvattnet, where the boom is often locked, is about one kilometer. Another road, from Torsfjärden leads to a road end at Bodvattnet. After that, it is just over two kilometers to walk before reaching the reserve's border.

Welcome to Stormyrhöjden. Keep in mind that within the reserve it is not allowed to:

• capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs,
• pick and collect species of any kind, except berries and edible mushrooms
• climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, roost or burrow
• damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
• make fires, other than with firewood, and
• drive a motorized vehicle off-road
