Description

Bromsvallsberget looks best in the fall when the yellow leaves of the aspens light up the landscape. There is a short path to the nature reserve. There are no marked trails in Bromsvallsberget, so you can wander around on your own. The yellow leaves on the aspens and cliffs offer a fine nature experience. The area is 19 hectares and is located on the steep eastern slope of Bromsvallsberget. The upper part of the slope consists of rocky ground that turns into swollen moraine towards the east. On the moraine grows mixed coniferous forest that is more than 100 years old and some trees are up to 30 meters.

On the forest slope there are a few old willows and groups of large, fine aspens.

Valuable for many

Many trees have been felled by storms over the years, so there are plenty of dead trees in various stages of decay.

They are important habitats for many insects, lichens, mosses and rare and endangered wood fungi species. Among other things, the nature reserve is home to the patchy tick, wrinkled skin, scented skin and rose tick.
