Description

Imagine vast expanses of marshland and large contiguous forests. And then you mix them up a bit, so that there is a bit of everything everywhere. The Blåbergsåsflyten nature reserve is located about 3 miles northeast of Rättvik, near Bingsjö. The area consists of two wetlands - Blåbergsåsflyten in the west and Brändbodflyten in the east. Between them is Flytholmen, a wooded area of solid ground, and out in the wetlands are smaller wooded islets. All located on an elevation area that is as much as 425 meters above sea level.
