Vitmossen is located 1.5 miles southwest of Sala. Drive from the roundabout at Lärkans sportcenter in Sala. Follow signs for road 256 towards Västerås. Drive 8 kilometers. Turn right at sign "Sätra Brunn". Drive 3.8 kilometers. Turn right at the sign "Sätra Brunn 2". Drive 4.2 kilometers. Turn left at the sign "3 Fläckebo". Drive 900 meters. Turn left at the sign "Naturreservat Vitmossen". Drive to a parking lot. From the parking lot to the reserve boundary it is a walk of about 500 meters.

There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.

It is forbidden to:

• dig, chop, carve, paint or otherwise damage the surface of the ground, rocks, boulders or similar,
• damage vegetation, for example by picking or digging up plants, mosses, fungi or lichens, with the exception of edible mushrooms and berries,
• bringing an unleashed dog or other stray pet
• driving a motorized vehicle
• trapping, killing or abducting animals, climbing trees, removing eggs or nests or otherwise deliberately disturbing wildlife
• putting up a board, sign, poster, orienteering control, or cutting tracks
• use the area for organized competition or practice purposes.
