Lars Magnus Ericsson Memorial Farm

Welcome to Nordtomta in Vegerbol, where Lars Magnus Ericsson was born on 5 May 1846 and lived during his childhood. Since 1961, the farm has been a memorial site and telephone museum.

The museum features an exhibition of telephones and electrical equipment from Lars Magnus Ericsson’s early years with the company. The farm is also furnished as a simple 19th-century farmhouse from Värmskog, with a kitchen and living room.

Next to the memorial farm, you will also find a mineral museum featuring minerals from the mines in the surrounding area.

Vegerbol Silver Mine is located approximately 1.3 kilometres from the memorial farm and forms part of the area’s mining heritage. The silver mine was in operation during the 19th century, and Lars Magnus Ericsson worked there as a young man.
