Description
Skirvo lies in lovely, slightly hilly landscape. The forest is clearly marked by historical forest fires which have formed the ecosystem and created lots of dead wood, to the benefit of insects, fungi and birds. The area is 3.4 square kilometres in size.

The nature reserve lies about 22 kilometres south-southeast of Moskosel. The most suitable way there from the public road is either from the south on road 653 close to Viståsen, or from the north on road 654 close to Ljusträsk.
