Stockgropen

Between the Gagnefs part and the Mockfjärds part of Stockgropen there is a stone with a carved line and a year, possibly 1583. There is evidence that the first Finn to settle here marked his raw in this way.

Carved initials and dates can also be found on a large stone next to the road to Stockgropen and on a couple of old timber buildings.

Between 1937 and 1939, Lisa Dahlin and her mother, as well as Elin Hjort had animals in Stockgropen. They were the last people from Mockfjärd to use Stockgropen for sheep farming.
