Lake Vänern has a fantastic archipelago and just outside Otterbäcken is Storön, an idyllic island, free from cars. A place with a beautiful natural and cultural environment that is isolated enough for you to experience the tranquility.

The settlements on Storön are concentrated in the southern part of the island with a fantastic view of Lake Vänern. There are bathing areas both from the beach or cliffs and lovely hiking areas with meadows and forests for a walk. You can get here by boat and enjoy nature and tranquility.

The only resident couple on the island runs Storön Gården with animals and small-scale farming as well as overnight accommodation and water taxi service.
