Description

In the 17th century, the castle park was designed under the direction of Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie. He named this hill after his wife Marie. On Mons Marie Hill there are remnants of a pond. The pond contained water intended for the fountains in the castle park. It has a nice view of the castle park. The coarse pines and oak trees of the hill have a rich bird life with forest pigeon, cat owl and green woodpecker.

Walking and cycling paths are nearby. The hike up the hill is steep. At the top there is a rest area.
