Naturpunkt Ättehögen

Ättekulla is the area with the highest density of ancient remains in Helsingborg, with burial mounds both above and below ground. In Ättekulla nature reserve there is now a nature point where you can learn about the history of the area from the Ice Age until today.

The word 'ättehög' is an old word for burial ground, and this is where Ättekulla and the new nature point get their name. Ättekulla Nature Reserve is an excellent place for a nature point and Ättehögen has been given a cultural environment theme with a focus on the Bronze Age. Here we want to tell about the changes in the landscape over time, from the last ice age onwards. How did people live in the past? What animals were there? What can we still see from the different ages and what impressions will we leave behind in the future?
