Stubba

For those who want to get up high to enjoy beautiful views, Mount Stubba is a great option. Only 3 miles from Gällivare, this gem is perfect for a day trip.

**How do I get there?

Easiest by car, about 20 min from Gällivare, follow E45 towards Porjus. After about 3 miles there is a small forest road to the left. You follow it about 150 meters then you see the sign showing the path to the top.

Distance to go: 1.5 km hike one way up to the top, where there is a stone wall where you can sit and enjoy your packed lunch.

Difficulty: easy to medium

Terrain: narrow path through forest and mountain terrain, suitable for the whole family

Worth seeing: from the top you can see Muddus/Muttos National Park, Stubba/Stubbá Nature Reserve, Sjaunja/Sjávnja Nature Reserve, Stora Sjöfallet/Stuor Muorkke National Park and Sarek National Park.
