Description
Anokangas is a large sandy moor where ancient pine forest grows. The forest is sparse, and the area is scenic and very easy to hike. A truly old pine forest on sandy ground of this type is very rare anywhere in Sweden. Anokangas is also valuable for its heritage. The area is 8.7 square kilometres in size.
Around the popular fishing lake Anojärvi, the landowner Sveaskog has some windshelters, picnic sites and two cabins. They can be rented through the local fishermen´s organization Kitkiöjärvi-Parkajoki fiskeförening, e-mail: kipa@telia.com.
