Description
The Eastern Walk in Romanäs is 2.5 km long and one of Tranås' must-do scenic walks. You pass by the remarkable Romanäs sanatorium and then follow the beautiful shore of Lake Sommens towards the north. Here is a nice little boat dock / natural harbor on the way to rest and get a beautiful view of Sommens water. The rest of the Eastern Walk goes through a cool and beautiful spruce forest and a stretch that follows a larger deer fence. The trail is not marked but has some strategically placed directional signs. A number of poems can be read on small signs.
