The reserve is located in eastern Jämtland, along road 323 between Bräcke and Kälarne. A few kilometers west of Gastsjö there is a parking lot on the north side of the road.

Welcome to Finnsjöberget Gastsjö. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:

• make fires
• capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
• climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, roost or burrow
• damaging the ground, rocks or vegetation
• felling live or standing dead trees and processing dead wood
• picking and collecting natural products (e.g. wood fungi, lichens and mosses) with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms
• collecting invertebrates, such as beetles and land molluscs
• driving motorized vehicles off-road throughout the area
• marking trails, organizing orienteering checks or holding competitions
• constructing snowmobile trails.

Paragraph 2 does not prevent the practice of hunting. Point 8 does not prevent the off-road transportation of felled moose, provided that tracks are not formed. This presupposes that vehicles with low ground pressure are used and that a suitable route is chosen for transport.
