Sävvät, Naturreservat
- Nature reserve
- County: Gotlands län
Actions
Description
Sävvät consists of a typical Gotland wetland with ag and several species of orchids and other typical wetland plants.
The nature reserves Krakvät, Sävvät and Hägsarve kärräng are three nature reserves close to each other, all of which are habitats for the marsh orchid, an orchid that in Sweden only grows on Gotland. Marsh orchids bloom in the latter half of June and early July. In Sävvät, which is located upstream of Krakvät and downstream of Hägsarve marsh, the vegetation is dominated by ag, but especially in the northern part there are also open grasslands. In addition to marsh helleborine, you will find mayweed, meadowsweet, chickweed, red clover, water milfoil and spikeleaf.
