Description

At the far reaches of the Stockholm Archipelago, beyond the island of Nämdö, lies the Bullerö Archipelago with its 900 islands and skerries. On the main island of Bullerön, paths through flowering meadows lead you to beautiful views. The island's vegetation is reminiscent of the Swedish mountains, with low-growing birches, heather and cloudberries.

The area is rich in birdlife, with soaring white-tailed eagles overhead and large flocks of seabirds on the water. The artist Bruno Liljefors owned the island at the beginning of the 20th century and his hunting lodge is now a museum. There are cottages to spend the night and one of them is wheelchair accessible.

For more information about overnight stays, see the Bullerö website.
