Description
Wira Mill is today open to the public. There is the Great Forge from the 18th century and the Little Forge, which was built in the 19th century. In the mill environment, you can also visit Wira Museum and Café Mästersmeden in Tingshuset. The inspection house, which today houses an art forge exhibition and a shop, is also worth a visit. There are three active blacksmiths at Wira, who work all year round. During the theater performance Wiraspelen and the All Saints' weekend, they showcase their art forging production. Wira Mill also offers historical guided tours from May to September.
Wiraspelen is a musical play performed at the amphitheater. For nine days each summer, the audience can experience drama, song, dance, animals and a story about the life of the Wira smiths in the mid-18th century.
