Description
Vårbergstoppen is one of Stockholm's highest points at 90 meters above sea level, with wonderful views, lots of birds and a unique landscape. The peak was built in the second half of the 20th century and was completed around 1980. Since then, the peak has developed into a unique semi-open landscape where large parts are managed with various forms of haymaking. The peak is very popular for birdwatching, especially in connection with spring and fall migration, but also with many bird species nesting on the peak. Adjacent to the summit is also Vikingaberget, Stockholm's highest natural mountain at 77 meters above sea level, with valuable old rocky pine forest.
