Munkvandringen - en vandring från frid till fred

The monk walk takes its name from the wandering monks who are said to have lived in Tyresö in the Middle Ages. The monk walk is divided into five short stages with texts that follow the monk Francis' prayer for peace. Francis' idea of peace includes all of creation.

Peace is more than the absence of war and external conflict. There is a deeper aspect of peace that is expressed in the word peace. Those who are not at peace with themselves find it difficult to live in peace with others.

Stop for a moment at each place and give yourself the opportunity to reflect and rest a little. When you feel ready to move on, take a deep breath and pray the prayer of all pilgrims, formulated by St. Bridget:

Lord, show me your way and make me willing to walk it.
