The nature reserve Kvikkjokk-Kabla primary mountain forest comprises the low fell massif Kabla with its surrounding forest rim. Here you find pine and spruce virgin forests, vast mires, birch forests and bare mountain. The area is 492 square kilometres in size.

The nature reserve lies about 70 kilometres northwest of Jokkmokk. Kvikkjokk-Kabla is reached from the Kvikkjokk road, for example at Årrenjarka or Kvikkjokk.
