Due to the storm Johannes, there are many trees lying over the trails and it is difficult to get around in parts of the area. We are working to fix this, but it may take some time until all trails are fixed. Watch out for fallen trees, leaning trunks, hanging branches and other signs of instability in the forest.
Description
Welcome to walk along paths and roads in Sweden's oldest, preserved system of waterways to a mine - with lakes, ponds, canals and ditches in the mountains northwest of Falu Gruva. Here you can see medieval hut sites, beautiful mountain manor houses, ponds and dam houses in a distinctive Nordic nature, an important part of the Falun World Heritage Site.
The hiking trails offer a network of shorter and longer loops, totaling just over 30 km. Parking lots, picnic areas, huts and informative signs are available in the area. Maps can be picked up at the World Heritage House at Falu Gruva. You can also download it as a pdf, see further down.
Always make sure you have a map with you when you are out hiking. Then you don't have to worry about whether you're on the right path or how far it is left.

Glest mellan märkena kräver karta/app. Dock bra skyltat i de allra flesta korsningar. Bra att veta att en del av stigarna vintertid har dragna skidspår utan stig bredvid -bra skor/stövlar krävs för att kunna gå bitvis i skogen.

Fina leder att vandra mellan tjärnar, myrar och en del kulturarv från tiden då det begav sig i skogarna. Startade i Puttbo och gick de två slingor som går runt Kråkmyrarna och Stångtjärnen i början av oktober - 22 km.
En bra idé (nästan måste om man inte känner till området) att appen igång då skyltningen förvisso är bra i de flesta korsningar, men saknas helt ibland.
