If you hike northward in the valley between Labba and Lajrro, you can look at Salajegna’s imposing ice wall. Enormous amounts of melt water run out under the glacier. This spectacle is a magnificent natural experience. The highest peak in the massif, Suliskongen, can only be reached from Pieskehaure after a strenuous glacier walk. The tour is only suitable for experienced mountain climbers with knowledge of crossing glaciers.
This mountain cabin accepts payment by card or with cash, no service for Swish.
This is how it works in a mountain cabin
Our mountain cabins offer a simple and authentic stay in multi-bedded rooms with self catering. The rooms are different sizes with bunk beds and usually heated by gas stoves. On site you will be greeted by a cabin manager. As a guest you chop wood, fetch water from the stream or lake, wash up and clean up after youself.

Anleitung
STF Pieskehaure Fjällstuga is located near the border with Norway, just south of Mt. Sulitelma. The cabin is located along the Nordkalottleden trail, which is about 800 km long and includes sections in Norway, Finland and Sweden.
You can hike or ski here from Kvikkjokk, about a three-day walk via STF Tarrekaise Fjällstuga and STF Vaimok Fjällstuga. Another option is to start from the village of Sulitjelma in Norway and hike to Pieskehaure via DNT's Fjällstuga Muorkihytta. You can also get to Pieskehaure from Staddajåkkå in Padjelanta or from Graddisvägen to the south. Because of the long distances and lack of cabins in which you can spend the night, the last two options require you to bring your own tent.
