By public transport: Bus 428 and 429 from Slussen towards Björkviks brygga, stop Björkviks gård.

By car: From Värmdöleden, turn off towards Ingarö, exit to the reserve signposted just before Björkviks havsbad. Parking is subject to a fee.

To protect the Björnö Nature Reserve, there are rules you must follow.

In the reserve, it is prohibited to:

• damage or disturb natural features or landforms by drilling, carving, blasting, painting, or similar actions
• disturb wildlife, for example by climbing nesting trees, capturing, or intentionally killing wild animals
• bring dogs unless they are kept on a leash
• set up caravans or camper trailers
• moor a boat at the same shoreline for more than two days
• operate or moor boats or other vessels closer than 50 m to sandy beaches
• operate motorboats or other motor-driven vessels in the Slängen water area
• operate motorboats or other motor-driven vessels faster than five knots in the Torpe–Infjärden water area
• camp outside designated areas; without the landowner’s permission, camping may not exceed two days in the same spot
• light fires except at designated and prepared fire sites
• land on the bird islets Kalvholmsgrunden between 1 April and 15 July, or moor boats there during this period
• put up signs, notices, posters, inscriptions, or similar installations
• use radios, music players, TVs, musical instruments, or similar devices in a disturbing manner
• drive motor vehicles except on designated roads
• park except in designated areas
• ride horses on sandy beaches or marked hiking trails
