Notholmen - Hjälmarekanal

Suitable starting and finishing point. Notholmen is beautifully situated at the southern end of Hjälmare Canal. Here you will be greeted by magnificent oak avenues that line the canal. The canal is Sweden's oldest dug canal and invites to wonderful paddling experiences. From Notholmen you can paddle 10 kilometers north in the canal to Kvarnsjön's bathing place without a lift. Along the route there are shelters with barbecue areas. Parking is available and it is possible to camp according to the right of public access. Toilets are available in the summer Docks with the possibility to dock for overnight boats.
