Seloberg och Skams gator rundslinga, Östgötaleden

Here you hike in magnificent and untamed nature. The wild and hilly landscape around Seloberg clearly shows how the ice sheet once shaped the landscape

The circular trail is 2-2.5 km long depending on which paths you choose. Some trails are sometimes demanding and have steep passages but these can be avoided as several options are available.

From the top of Seloberg, you have a wide view of the forests and the landscape around Sundsjöarna. The trail passes the big thief Selo's cave where he hid his stolen goods, the remains of an old quarry and the old execution site of Ydre härads.

The easternmost part of the trail on Seloberg goes through the dramatic ravine Skams gator. The path goes through boulder terrain and damp ground. The risk of fallen trees is high as the area is infested with spruce bark beetle. If you choose the more westerly path, the walk is easier.
