Roxen is known for its excellent fishing for large pike. The lake is large and often bordered by reeds, which means that fishing is best done from a boat. Many troll for pike, preferably with a sea caravan and wobbler over shallow bottoms where the predatory fish chase vendace and other prey fish. But it is possible to catch much more than pike in the lake. Roxen is one of the most species-rich lakes in the county and also has good stocks of perch, zander and bream.
Fishing in the lake is permitted by the Roxen fishing area association. You can buy a fishing license on the iFiske web service.

The lake is large and there are many places to fish. If you want to fish from the shore, the northern parts are easiest, as the shore is a little steeper and there are fewer reeds. However, there are some great fishing spots along the southern shore too, especially on the headlands and outcrops.
If you have a boat on a trailer, there is a ramp in the lower part of Stångån, about 300 meters south of the E4. You can find it by turning onto Roxengatan from Tornbyvägen, turning left onto Norra Stånggatan and continuing about 600 meters to the turning area where the road ends. There is also a ramp at Kungsbro marina north of Berg.
