Pilgrimscentrum Vadstena

WELCOME TO THE PILGRIM CENTER

Vadstena Pilgrimscentrum is the obvious meeting place for pilgrims in Vadstena. All pilgrims who have walked to Vadstena gather here for registration, rest and fellowship.

THE RECEPTION FOR PILGRIM

The reception for pilgrims is to the left of the main entrance. Here you register your arrival as a pilgrim, and collect your pilgrim certificate or pilgrim diploma.

PILGRIM'S ECOCAFÉ

The heart of our business. Pilgrims, tourists, locals come here to meet and relax. Here you are not looking for "vacant" tables but tables that are already occupied. In our café you will find breakfast and coffee for cheap. With us, you can also bring a packed lunch for your hike. If you are a larger group (more than 8 people), we would like you to pre-order coffee and/or a hiking bag no later than one week before arrival.

PILGRIM SHOP

Here you can find everything from pilgrim literature, maps, guidebooks and icons to backpacks, badges, socks and thermoses. Our own products can also be purchased via our online store. Go to the online store >>

GUESTHOUSE

Pilgrimscentrum has 14 beds in multi-bed rooms with access to toilet, shower, kitchen and common room. It is self-catering with own cleaning. Bring your own sheets or rent from us.

LIBRARY

In the Library you will find pilgrim literature, books about Vadstena and Saint Birgitta and Bibles in different languages. There are also various saint stories and monastery descriptions, church history and Bible commentaries here. In the library, we also usually have our Bible sharing for everyone who visits us and wants to join.
