The area covers the Svartån river from Öringebron in Boxholm municipality down to Burensköldsbron in central Mjölby.Svartån is considered by many anglers to be one of the country's best fishing waters and it is here that the largest ferns and sarvas are caught. There is also a rich stock of other fish species such as perch, pike and eel.

A fishing license is required to fish.
You can buy fishing licenses from Öringe-Mjölby FVOF through iFiske (see link)! All products (fishing licenses) sold are digital, ie it and the receipt are delivered via ePost, to the app and as an SMS (optional) from iFiske. The seller is Öringe-Mjölby FVOF .
The fishing association consists of the landowners who have water in Svartån from Burensköldsbron in central Mjölby down to Öringebron in Boxholm.
