Beskrivelse
Thanks to the long absence of logging, the forest has developed into almost a primeval forest. Skitåsen is an old "mast forest" area. Due to the need for timber for the navy in the 17th and 18th centuries, in 1668 the Crown prohibited the felling of pines that could be suitable for ship masts. There were a number of designated areas with mast trees on the commons. The ban on the commons remained in force until 1932.

Veibeskrivelse
From Glanshammar drive east towards Lillkyrka. Turn north there and drive about 4.7 km. Turn left at Södra Bredmossen and continue 1 km. From a path on the right of the road, it is just over 300 meters walk to the reserve boundary.
Forskrifter
In the nature reserve it is forbidden to:
- remove or damage trees, shrubs and herbs.
