Kilsbergstorpet Hyttebacken

Hyttebacken is a well-preserved example of self-sufficiency in the forest, of which Kilsbergen had many in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The open land on the farm has been used for cultivation and haymaking for the animals since the 18th century. This has led to the land having a great diversity of flowering herbs and meadow fungi. Today, the land is managed as meadows with mowing in late summer.

There are also cultural-historical remains here. By the stream that flows from Lake Bocksbosjön, you can see traces of Bocksboda hytta from the mid-17th century. There are also remains of the mill that was there in the 18th century.

Stay overnight in Hyttebacken

The small cottage on the farm near Lake Bocksbosjön can be booked for overnight stays. The cottage has two beds and a wood stove for heating. When you book the house, you will also have access to the kitchen and toilet in the residential house. The kitchen contains a stove with oven, coffee maker, pots, dishes, etc. The brewhouse has no electricity.

Booking

Bookings can be made in the municipality's booking system: https://orebro.ibgo.se/Login/Login. There you create an account.

Then go to "Search/Book" and type Hyttebacken in the search box. Select "Filter on available times" and then "Book over the day". Fill in the dates you want to book. You can pick up your keys at Gårdsjötorp from 3 p.m. and return them no later than 2 p.m. Place your booking from 3 p.m. to 2 p.m. the next day.

You must make your reservation at least five days before your stay. If you want to cancel, you need to do so 10 days before your stay. An invoice will be sent out the month after your stay. You can book the cottage for a maximum of 5 consecutive days.
