Kanibäcken is less than three miles from Vuollerim. From Vuollerim, drive past Porsi power station and follow the road along the northern bank of the Stora Lule River. The road passes through the southern part of the reserve. If you want to visit the northern part of the reserve, you can turn off onto a forest road that can be driven by car to the reserve.

The nature reserve is located about 27 km from Vuollerim. The easiest way to get there is to drive past Porsi power plant from Vuollerim and then follow the road along the northern bank of the Stora Lule River. The road passes through the southern part of the reserve, and if you want to visit the reserve further north, you can turn off onto a forest road that is passable by car and leads to the reserve.

All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:

• camping
• hiking
• picking berries and edible mushrooms
• make a fire, remember to bring your own firewood
• drive snowmobiles on well-snow-covered ground
• hunt in accordance with the laws in force.

It is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember to respect the right of public access and protect nature.
