Walk, jog or cycle the small roads south of Skårtaryd's primeval forest and you will reach a vast and desolate mosaic of marsh and forest. Here too, fine mushroom and berry fields await. Capercaillie and black grouse are found around Åsamossarna. Moose, fox and marten are also found in the area.
