Get to know the town by the Göta Canal and Lake Vänern

Sjötorp attracts many visitors during the summer. This is where the Göta Canal starts its journey through Sweden from Lake Vänern, and many people begin their journey along the canal here. Sjötorp is also a good place to experience the locks up close. Within walking distance there are no less than eight locks. There are bicycle rentals, fish stalls, crafts, museums, eateries and some shopping. The passenger boat M/S Bellevue makes trips on the Göta Canal from here.
