Lidbergsgrottorna

Cave explorers have long known about Nordmaling’s special tunnel caves. The beautiful formations in the rock are reminiscent of a sculpture exhibition. The caves are an exciting destination for all the family.

Lidbergsgrottorna

The area is easily accessible, and here you will find beautifully abraded crack caves, such as Stora Lidbergsgrottan and Marmitegrottan. The caves were formed by large rocks whirling around in the sea’s breakers and wearing away the cliffs roughly seven thousand years ago. In Lidbergsgrottorna there are numerous round-abraded caves formed at cracks in the rock.
