The Culture Tour is now celebrating its fifth anniversary! We are proud of the arts and cultural scene in our municipality and that, together with our exhibitors, we can offer you, the visitor, the opportunity to experience it. Together, we preserve our cultural heritage and help shape the culture of the future. We wish you a wonderful cultural experience in our municipality!

PROGRAM SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 10:00 A.M.–4:00 P.M. (Regular opening hours)

SÖDRA RÅDA CULTURAL CENTER, Rådavägen, Södra Råda. Open 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (Also open Sunday, October 5, 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.)

Fall art fair featuring local artists showcasing and selling crafts and art. Authors on site. Painting, textiles, ceramics, model building, photography, woodworking, wool/linen, knitting/crocheting. Live music performed on various instruments in the hall. Café. Raffle with prizes donated by the exhibitors.

SÖDRA RÅDA OLD CHURCH SITE/TIMBER CHURCH. Open 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Take the opportunity to visit the log church, where our guide will show you the unique reconstruction of a medieval church interior.

ANNAS CRÊPERIE & CAFÉ, Prästgatan 9, Gullspång. Open 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Filling savory crêpes and coffee with a view of the Gullspång River. Exhibition featuring works by artist Ylva Engman, who grew up in Rudskoga.

KLINGERÄNGENS GÅRDSBUTIK, Trädgårdsgatan 1, Gullspång. Open 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

DAILY ACTIVITIES AT SÖRGÅRDEN, Amnegården, entrance/café.

GULLSPÅNG CENTER, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Exhibition by the incoming 9th-grade class from Gullstensskolan, a collaboration between the art and crafts departments.

Family day with crafts, snacks, and story time.

1:00 p.m. WORKSHOP: TRY BOLLYWOOD DANCE! An exciting workshop with Pooja Anette Claesson from MYSK Dance Studio. The joy of dance through varied expressions, playfulness, and mime! Catharina Gustavsson/Artfideli is opening a new gallery, an oasis for artists, artisans, and writers.

Welcome to our diverse exhibition, where a number of local talents will be displaying and selling art and crafts throughout the day. There will also be a café and a raffle.

This year’s writing contest for children is open to students in grades 4, 5, 6, and 7. Information about the title and theme will be provided in August when school starts. Submit your entry at either of the libraries (Hova or Gullspång) during week 40, no later than October 4. You can also submit your story at Folkets hus Otterbäcken on October 4. Two first-place winners will be selected, each receiving a prize of 500 kronor. Five second-prize winners will receive two movie tickets each—one for themselves and one to share with a friend. Winners will be announced during week 41. The contest sponsors are Blikstorps Oljeprodukter AB and Partex Marking Systems AB.

Ceramics for the hands and the eyes. Open workshop, studio, and shop. Try your hand at pottery wheel throwing. Hot dogs with bread, light refreshments, and apple juice will be served. Guests: Sigge Wahlstedt with sculpture and woodcraft. Eva Rittsel, glass artist. Try your hand at sandblasting your own glass piece.

Open studio. Oil paintings; subjects range from portraits, flowers, landscapes, and still lifes.

KÄLLTORP’S VEGETABLE FARM AND FARM STORE. Källtorp 1, Hova. The farm store is open 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Phone: 0703-11 10 84.

Discover locally grown and partially organic produce! Seasonal vegetables, root vegetables, and flowers. Simple refreshments are served throughout the day.

HOVA CHURCH, HOVA-ÄLGARÅS PARISH. Open 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Phone: 0506-18518. 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. A guide is on site. 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Waffle café at the Hova parish hall. Proceeds go to Children of the World (in collaboration with Mokyrkan in Hova).

MOKYRKAN, Parkgatan 4, Hova. NOTE! 6:00 PM

The whole church sings with Peter Enoxon. Come join us and sing well-known songs from the church’s musical treasure trove. Church coffee will be served afterward. The event is organized by Mokyrkan in Hova and Equmeniakyrkan in Gullspång. We hope many of you will come and share in the fellowship.
