Beschreibung
The nature reserve is located along the western shore of Lake Sätra, south of Bestorp. Along the small stream that flows down to the lake there is a lush old deciduous forest with coarse aspen and birch and elements of noble leaves. Here you can find the remains of a sawmill and the remains of a croft with small fields and pastures. But the reserve also contains coniferous areas with coarse spruce, old pine trees, barns and stumps.
The reserve can be a little demanding to visit as it lacks facilities such as a rest area, information board and marked hiking trail. There is a car park about 500 metres north of the reserve.

Anleitung
Drive Brokindsleden south past Sturefors. Continue almost four kilometers past Bjärka-Säby and then turn left onto county road 691 towards Åtvidaberg. Drive 1.2 kilometers and then turn right towards Skruvkulla. Continue 1.5 kilometers to the parking lot at Sätravallen's disused open-air farm. From here you can follow the Östgötaleden trail past the old slalom slopes towards the reserve.

Regeln für Besucher des Naturschutzgebietes Sätravallen:
- Sie dürfen die Oberfläche des Bodens oder feste Gegenstände der Natur nicht hacken, graben oder auf andere Weise beschädigen.
- Sie dürfen nicht graben oder holen, Gefäßpflanzen, Moose, Lavas oder Holzpilze. Sie dürfen keine Insekten, Muscheln oder andere Wirbeltiere sammeln Sie dürfen nicht schießen. Sie können keine Kraftfahrzeuge fahren. Sie dürfen das Haus nicht einrichten.
- Sie können nur auf dem Parkplatz parken.
