Beschreibung
Uddaberget is a large, beautiful area with old-growth forest, lakes, and tranquil, mystical surroundings. Keep an eye out for forest birds such as capercaillie, three-toed woodpecker, lesser spotted woodpecker, green woodpecker, and black woodpecker. The reserve has plenty of dead wood, which supports many protected fungi, mosses, and lichens.
There are no marked trails or visitor facilities—feel free to wander and find your own way. You can pick berries or mushrooms, swim, and visit several ancient hillforts.
There is no visitor parking, but the reserve is easily accessible by public transport: Mölnbo commuter station is just a 1-km walk from the northern entrance.
Warning: Many spruces have died from bark beetle infestation and may fall without warning. Avoid these areas, especially in windy weather.
Open fires are currently prohibited. Bring a gas or spirit stove if you want to cook.
