Beschreibung
The reserve comprises around fifty islands and, together with Nämdö Archipelago National Park, forms a large, continuous archipelago area.
The islands are hilly, with rocky outcrops, depressions, and vegetation typical of the outer archipelago. The reserve is well known for its exceptionally rich and distinctive birdlife, including late-nesting and disturbance-sensitive species.
To protect nesting birds, some areas of the reserve are designated bird sanctuaries and have landing restrictions at certain times of the year.
There are no recreational facilities in the reserve.

Anleitung
Långskär Nature Reserve is located in the outer archipelago, surrounded by Nämdöskärgården National Park. The easiest way to get there is by boat.
Verordnungen
To protect Långskär Nature Reserve, there are rules you must follow.
In the reserve it is forbidden to
- From February 1 to August 15, enter the designated bird protection area (see map in the regulations)
- destroy or damage fixed natural objects
- break branches, cut down or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs or damage vegetation in general
- plucking night violets or other orchids
- deliberately disturbing wildlife
- have an unleashed dog or cat or other pet
- camping for more than two days
- anchoring a boat in the same place for more than two days
- make fires
- use musical instruments, music systems or similar in a disruptive manner
- drive a motorized vessel faster than 7 knots except in designated areas (see map in the regulations).
