The nature reserve has areas affected by spruce bark beetle. Many spruce trees have died and may fall over time, so please be cautious and avoid visiting during windy weather.
The beetles only attack living trees and do not remain in dead wood. Dead trees are left in place to support biodiversity, as they provide important habitats for wildlife, mosses, and lichens.
Beschreibung
Fäberget Nature Reserve is named after the hill in the southernmost part of the area. From the top of the hill, looking north, visitors are treated to views of a peaceful glade filled with ferns. Gradually, the glade gives way to a spruce forest draped in hanging lichens.
The reserve remains largely untouched.
Apart from information signs, there are no facilities for visitors in this nature reserve.

Anleitung
Fäberget Nature Reserve is located approximately 2 km northeast of Söderby-Karl Church.
The reserve is best reached on foot, via a short detour from the Roslagsleden Trail, stage 9 Roslagsbruk – Bagghus/Gåsvik.
By car: Take Road 283 and then Åbyvägen. Please note that there is no designated parking area near the reserve.
By public transit: The nearest bus stop is Åby, about 2 km west of the reserve. For public transport routes and timetables, visit SL (Stockholm Public Transport).
Verordnungen
To protect the Fäberget nature reserve, there are rules you must follow. In the reserve it is forbidden to:
- dig, hack, drill or otherwise damage rock, soil or stone
- cut down or damage living or dead trees or bushes
- damage vegetation by digging up plants or removing mosses, lichens or woody fungi.
