Väglasjöarnas fiskevårdsområde

The fishing area Väglasjörna is located in the beautiful nature around Vägla and Ellefors, about 30 km southwest of Älmhult. The area includes the lakes Väglasjön, Vitasjön and Svartasjön. Read more about the local rules that apply in these waters through the referred iFiske link.

In the area you can catch both pike, perch and rotauge roach. The protected catfish is also found in the lakes. Trout have been planted and the local fisheries conservation association would appreciate a report in case you catch one – use the iFiske link.

Please note that the right of public access (allemansrätten) applies both on land and water but does not cover fishing. For fishing in Väglasjöarna you need a permit (fiskekort), which you can buy online through the iFiske link or at the tourist information office in the Älmhult municipal hall.

Note that fisheries inspectors are present and have the right to ask you to present a valid fishing license.
