Hultsfred-Hus museum

Standardhus began manufacturing prefabricated houses in Hultsfred in 1928.

Hultsfred Träförädling, Standardhus and Svenska Idealhus were taken over in the 1940s by Södra Skogsägarna and merged in 1960 under the name Hultsfred-hus.

Between 1928 and 1993, a total of around 60,000 houses were built. During the company's heyday, 1965-1973, more than 2,000 wooden houses were delivered each year.

The museum now houses offices and drawing rooms from the 1950s and 60s. There are also models of houses, house catalogs, pictures, drawings and much more that reflect the history of Hultsfreds-Hus.
