7b. Skyttevärn

The trenches, entrenchments and trenches that the soldiers dug during their training on Hultsfreds Slätt are still there. The trenches wind for almost a kilometer around here. Most of what we can now see must be the remains of trenches for standing soldiers interrupted by shelters.

Rifle pits are called field defensible shelters for gunners in combat positions. They are made partly by digging and partly by laying the resulting earth close to the trench
