Tidningshuset

A new newspaper building was built in 1912 according to drawings by city architect Klas Boman, Falun. The property today consists of two houses built at an angle along Fredsgatan and Landsgatan, as well as a building towards the northern boundary. Hedemora's first newspaper, Hedemora Tidning, was published in August 1864. It was replaced in 1881 by Södra Dalarnas Veckoblad, which from 1887 became Södra Dalarnes Tidning. SDT moved out of the building in 2006.
