Beschreibung

Torgåsgården fjällgård is owned and run by us, Moa & Björn Källén and our two boys. We both have long experience of the mountains and tourism and our ambition is to offer others an opportunity to experience the fantastic of living in the mountains with nature around the house: fresh air, snow, starry nights, a campfire with boiling coffee, aurora borealis, outdoor life , animals and nature.

We know that it is not always easy to get out and experience the outdoors. Therefore, we are happy to help you plan activities, send a packing list and give tips about our strawberry places. We want you to also feel how good the food tastes when it is cooked outdoors or how well you sleep after a whole day in the mountains. How you get goosebumps when you get close to wild animals in the forest or the excitement of fishing. The power of the river flowing and the pure joy of skiing & snowboarding.

As a guest with us, we want you to feel at home. Use the whole house, cook in the kitchen, watch movies on the couch, drink coffee on the pier, enjoy the evening on the porch and play in the garden. have our own lake and forest and mountains waiting just around the corner. We are located a bit away from the large ski resorts, but with skiing, cross-country trails and a shop at a convenient distance. Each season has its charm, and we are open all year round.

Bed linen, shower towel and cleaning of the room on departure are always included. You have access to a kitchen and can cook your own food. If you want to buy breakfast, it works great if you order it at least 24 hours in advance. We focus on sustainability and buy food locally, as well as serve organic coffee.

Check-in takes place from 17:00 and check-out until 10.00. You can check in later, on your own. We will send you an SMS on the day of arrival, with information on how to find your accommodation.

A warm welcome to us!

Anleitung

All roads may not lead to Torgåsgården but many of them do. We are five minutes by car from Kläppen ski resort and 20 minutes by car from Sälen.

Public transport
Several buses with connections to SJ trains to Borlänge pass us. The closest bus stop is called ”Torgås Gamla Affären”. You can let us know what time you will be arriving and we are happy to pick you up as sections of the road to us are along the national main road which has a lot of traffic.

Canoe
If you arrive by canoe downstream you should keep an eye out for us once you have passed the bridge Torgåsbron in Torgås. We can be found inside of the eastern riverbank, by Motjärns strand. If the river is high you can canoe all the way up to the sandy beach and just a few metres from the hostel, through the canal towards Motjärn. Otherwise you can carry the canoe over the narrow strip of land that separates the river and Motjärn. N.B. Due to the renovation of the bridge in Torgås it is currently not possible to travel underneath the bridge.

By car
From the south: follow road 66 past Malung and you will reach a village called Lima. You will find us four kilometres north of Lima on the right hand side. If you reach the bridge in Torgås you have gone too far.

From the north: if you are driving from the Vasaloppet route or Sälen you have to continue south by Fiskarheden. When you get to Kläppen ski resort you have about another four kilometres to go. You will find us on the right hand side, just after the little village of Torgås.

From the west: if you are coming from Rörbäcksnäs and the Norwegian border you have to keep right and follow the signs in Torgås, as the bridge is temporarily closed. You will then reach Lima on the west side of the river. Go over the bridge and then turn north on road 66. You will find us on the left side of the road, four kilometres after Lima, just south of Torgås.
