Mat-torpet Solliden Kafé och gårdsbutik

**On winding roads through the forests of Odensvi you will find the Solliden farm, about 2 miles west of Gamleby. A KRAV-certified farm that raises pigs in their natural environment outside, with dirt on their faces and a grunt on their tails. Lambs scamper around in the pastures and chickens walk and scratch in the soil. They also grow a lot of organic vegetables and potatoes.

Everything happens in a natural cycle on the farm. The pigs walk and dig in the soil, eating up unwanted root weeds and at the same time fertilizing the soil where you can then grow vegetables and potatoes. The sheep help to keep the beautiful landscape open by grazing and tidying up the pastures. Slaughter and cutting takes place in a local slaughterhouse in Vimmerby, so the animals avoid long transportation.

The raw materials grown on the farm are sold in the farm shop and also through REKO-ring.

In the café: All food, bread and cakes are baked from scratch with natural and organic ingredients. The goal is to use ingredients from the farm or from producers in the local area as far as possible. The meat is always from the farm and so are the potatoes. When vegetables are in season, they also come from the farm.
