During high summer, the area can be reached by driving up to Ansättåns canyon and then hiking along Ansättåleden about three kilometers to the southwest to reach the nature reserve entrance. At other times of the year, the road to the canyon is closed and then the area is most easily reached by following Ansättåleden from south of Rörvattnet. To connect to the trail if you are coming from Hotagen, you can drive the road from Hotagen towards Rörvattnet for about eight kilometers and then turn left towards Lövnäset. Follow the road for about one kilometer, park. Now there is about 10 kilometers of hiking to the entrance of Ansättåns nature reserve.

Welcome to Ansättån. Keep in mind that in the reserve it is not allowed to:

• pick and collect species of various kinds, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms,
• climbing trees, staying near a bird of prey's nest, lair or pot, collecting animals or otherwise deliberately damaging or disturbing wildlife,
• damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
• make fires, other than with firewood
• drive a motorized vehicle in terrain on bare ground.

Without the permission of the County Administrative Board, it is forbidden to:

• conduct or engage in organized outdoor recreation, competitions, camp activities, military exercises or other organized events,
• conduct scientific studies that involve the collection of species or have other impacts on the natural environment.
