Stocklycke - Borghamn, Östgötaleden, St. Birgitta Ways

Today you
will experience Omberg, a popular excursion destination known for its rich and
varied nature and stunning views of Lake Vättern. The Saint Bridget Ways and
Östgötaleden coincide and are well-marked.

You can
choose between two routes:

• The Western route, which is more demanding with some steep sections and offers views of Lake Vättern.
• The Eastern route, which is easier to walk and provides views of the plain and the bird lake Tåkern.

Both routes
are true gems. If you choose the Western route, don’t miss Västra Väggar and
perhaps a swim at the pebble beach Älvarumsudde, which also has a windbreak.
The Eastern route has a short detour to the Mariadöttrarnas Monastery, which is
well worth a visit.

Omberg has
many circular trails with different themes if you’re interested; check the
information boards.

Make sure
there is dinner available where you stay, as shops are scarce.
