Luspenkåtan

Luspenkåtan is located adjacent to Storumans Camping. It was previously used as a church with the name Kåtakyrkan and was de-Christianized in 2019.

The hut was built in 1982 according to drawings by the architect Torkel Sjöström, was built in the form of a Sami hut and has a roof covered with dark brown wood paneling and under the roof there is a low concrete path. The building consists of one room where the walls are clad with natural-colored, horizontal wood paneling. The walls have triangular window openings that let in daylight. Kåtakyrkan, which was the former name, was originally a church building that belonged to Stensele parish.
