The church was consecrated in 1718 and has interesting ceiling paintings signed Michael Carowsky 1745. The ceiling paintings were painted over in 1880 and then uncovered in 1949.

How to get there: From Karlstad take the E18 to Nyängen. Turn off to Grums, after approx 1 km, turn right to Borgvik. Follow the signs to Borgvik approx 8 km.
