Het reservaat ligt acht kilometer ten noordwesten van Krokom, aan de noordwestkant van de Landögssjön. Vanuit Vejmon of Rönnöfors rijdt u de weg op naar Jänsmässholmen. Na 1,3 kilometer gaan we echter links naar een bosweg en dan rechts als de weg splitst.

Welcome to Storskogen. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:

• capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
• picking and collecting any species except berries and edible mushrooms
• climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 m to a bird of prey's nest, roost or burrow
• damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
• make fires, except in specially designated places, if available
• drive a motorized vehicle off-road throughout the area
• without the county administrative board's permission, carry out both commercial and non-commercial organized activities, such as sports events, tourist activities, hunting tests, visits by large groups, recurring events, etc. The permit requirement does not apply to groups with fewer than 15 participants or to school classes or pre-school groups that only engage in traditional hiking or touring on occasion.
